BALLET PERFORMANCE!28 november (rehearsal)
so we met everyone on the train,
haha big project to bugis!
went to the food court there and had pepperlunch.
then still had a lot of time left so walk walk.
and the twilight fans were looking for their twilight theme in bugis.
but there wasnt any, only the wall and door.
hahaa.
made our way to city hall,
then walked through the esplanade,
pameline led the way.
i was just like blindly following.
went pass the "merlion".
oh and saw marina bay floating platform.
ndp memories..
but it became a soccer field. wth?
reached victoria theatre soon enough.
got into our freezing cold rooms..
had a dry run on the stage,
then went back our rooms to play!
plenty of time left before the next rehearsal.
played murderer, concentration, chop chilli chop?
had loads of fun then went on stage again.
watched other people performed,
while reminiscing our old performance times..
dinner was fried rice with fish and cabbage.
some said two years ago when we performed it was the same food.
haha.
went to change into our costumes after eating.
rhythm of spring was down next.
at the last moment all three of them forgot to put the flower on their head.
but no choice no time already so they went down without the headress,
then kena scolded by teacher.
while they were rehearsing took pictures on karis' camera.
haha some really spastic ones.
then when the others were back we took jump shots.
everyone had a solo jump shot.
haha.
retrospective memory;
thats our dance name in english.
lol ok went up the stage with our costumes.
gosh the light damn bright can,
and i lost my sense of direction after turning,
all is dark except the light.
cant see anything from the audience,
its like pitch black.
dint warm up and ended up with a bad left leg.
worrying cant dance on the next day.
practised finale then took the bus back to cc.
the bus driver went wrong way and we reached tampines much later,
at 10 plus to 11.
29 november (actual performance)
met in cc at 1pm.
then took the bus to victoria theatre.
we changed into our costumes earlier than we're supposed to,
just cause we love being in them.
was thinking if teacher will get a shock if she sees us in our costume and scold us,
but no she dint say anything and instead say the costume look nice on stage.
haha!
i brought my poker cards and i wasnt playing it.
lol.
cause i dint know what the others were playing,
just sat there watch.
rehearsed like twice then had to eat dinner.
the racial harmony dance aka funny dance people had another practice,
so we ate first,
and hid their food in the cupboard!
when they came back we told them no food left,
only have bananas.
and they actually believe it.
hahaha.
told them their food is somewhere in the theatre,
and they treasure-hunted for it.
finally they found it in the cupboard!
hahaa we're evil.
make up time.
argh none of us like that.
put our foundation ourselves.
we practically did everything ourselves except for the eyes.
teacher came in and fix that for us.
standard fierce-looking eyes she'd draw.
gosh i look like a cat?
applied mascara myself which doesnt make any difference.
maureen and isabella put fake eyelashes,
total makeover!
after all the make up we played murderer,
with poker cards.
we discussed it long ago,
if teacher comes in,
we'll hide the cards under our skirts,
cause we're not supposed to play. xD
and yes she came in,
and everyone jumped in to the middle,
laughing like mad.
teacher was like "telling ghost stories ah?"
and we were like "yah yah",
she believed.
lols damn funny.
played until the performance started.
then went outside to warm up.
luckily i was'nt aching anyomore.
took pictures before we practised our steps.
then it was our turn to go down.
right before we perform we're like good-lucking to each other in the dark,
and there it goes!
our one whole year of hard work,
its time to showcase.
the damn bright lights again,
but i turned successfully.
the five minutes on stage was just so wonderful,
especially dancing this dance.
the joy of performing.
those in funny dance went to change their costumes,
while we went up back into the make up room.
but had to go down again shortly for finale.
finale ended and the whole performance was a success!
congrats to everyone!

taxi-ed back home with my mother and brother.
when we're younger these performances didnt seem so significant.
its amazing time passes so quickly.
but what's most important is that we enjoyed ourselves on and backstage.
