TOMORROW'S THE BIG DAY!!!NATIONAL DAY!!!
so today in school we had the celebration.
PRCS WENT HYPER!!!
ok it was really hyper.
hmm...tmr,
9 august,
national day,
NDP 2008!!!
and that is the one big day in my life.
i love performing,
and i've performed countless times throughout my life.
it was always dancing on a stage in a theatre,
but this time is different,
its not dancing,
not acting,
but part of a marching contingent.
i've never imagine myself to be part of a marching contingent in a national day parade.
all along,
every year's national day,
as i watch the parade stand still for almost an hour,
i always have this question in mind,
"how could they stand for so long without moving?"
i would'nt have thought that a few years later,
i got the answer.
recalling back to the time when ms tan was asking us guides,
for who wants to go for the NDP auditions.
i was'nt very keen in joining,
but nevertheless,
since all my friends were going,
i went for the selection,
just for fun.
i still rmb telling myself,
"if i can make it in i'll go all the way, if cannot nvm"
it was way back in april,
5 april.
about four months ago,
our first selection.
i was still hesitant on whether to join anot.
they said u must be at least 160 cm tall,
to qualify for the position in NDP.
and im like what?
155cm!
way shorter than the height requirement.
but i was lucky,
i made it all the way through.
now counting back,
14 practices we had,
and tmr's the big day for what we're practicing for all along.
time just passed so fast.
syazwani, nadzirah and amanda,
who participated in NDP before,
said its a really great experience.
i was'nt convinced at that time,
but now i know what they mean.
i learnt so so so much in NDP,
had so so so much fun.
made many great new friends,
and gained the priceless experience.
though i sacrificed a lot for NDP,
like time for studying,
time for doing projects,
and most importantly,
ballet,
but if u ask me if i ever regretted joining NDP,
my answer would be a big NO.
i lose alot,
but gained even more.
its just tmr,
its just tmr,
and i wish it could be further away.
we've came a long way together,
and its almost time we show the nation what we're doing.
