IM BACK FROM GUIDES CAMP!!! whoooo..i slept ferr 20 hours when i came back yesterday. hahas. cos on sunday night i broke record ferr the first time not to sleep ferr 24 hours.so the first day, we fall in at the tower and then proceeded to form our groups. me in WALNUTS with another 8 people--phay shuen our leader, winnie, yan mae, annette, yu wen, lina, maliah and dawn. we made the banners and compose our group cheer and also made our group identity. ours was on our shoe. winnie helped us tie all between our shoe laces. our banner was uh..un-interesting, with a big "hamburger" in the middle, which was actually suppose to be a walnut. haha. after this we went to learn how to pitch a tent. a 8-man traditional tent. ok. the sec ones took like the whole mornin until the early afternoon to pitch the tent. by then we were like so hungry redi. we still hav to make some gadgets. but in the end we took so long time so dun need to do redi. lunch was after tat. surprisingly this camp the food was nice lorhh.
after eatin we set off to pasir ris park--walkin. its part of our hiking. we go there have sandcastle competition. on the way, we pass many "nature" places and me and lindsey took pictures all along. lols. soon, we reached the beach and started buildin our sandcastle. we started off by making a high "volcano". then had a hard time tryin to let the sandcastle stay on the top of the volcano. in the first place, it was so difficult gettin the sand out of the bucket! we build like fer so long and then suddenly dunno wad happen the castle at the top came fallin off. we rebuild another one. in the end ours was like just a block of sand. haha. with a wall surroundin it and two castles leadin to it with a path. we called it "THE GREAT WALL OF WALNUTS". our final product looks like alien? or pikachu? lol. but it was quite cute. we din know who was the winner but i tiink was the almonds. theirs was quite interesting. after washin up in the toilet, we set off back to prcs, walkin. dunno why we took a longer route. walked from bright to dark. but it was fun larhh. liddat then call hiking marhh. we bathe then hav dinner then wrote reflections then prepared to go to sleep--in the tents! my group got the 4-man tent but squeezed 7 girls and our bags. almonds got the 8-man tent and they squeezed 13 ppl. wow! it was damn uncomfortable larhh, no one cudd stretch out their legs and we were like sardines. i managed to sleep a bit, maybe bout the most 2 hours. when it was time to wake up, everyone was like finally can stretch.
we had mornin run on sunday. then eat breakfast. my group walnuts got duty. so we prepared the breakfast and lunch. i was like cuttin the bananas. lol. then we go down to canteen eat. after tat we pack our things to go out ferr most of the day. we go kallang for dragon boating. i went there durin p5 camp so it was'nt very new to me. we went there wif the ncc girls. after groupin ourselves, we got into the respectives boats ans started paddling. my boat got 16 ppl and i was right at the back wif joe yee. and guess who was behind us? mr jason. he so extra larhh. so plus him was 17 ppl. we paddled almost everywhere where the river cudd bring us. at first we were not very together. some paddled at different times. in the middle of the river, we had a race wif the other boat of guides. ok, they won. but at the final race wif all four boats--2 guides and 2 ncc, my boat won overall!!! yayy! i din expect it. second was ncc girls. my boat won both in the trial race and the actual race. we ate our lunch there. till we found out tat most of us got darker and sunburns from the dragon boatin. but all in all was fun lar. after tat we went to the national museum of singapore for our race.

when we got the first question, we din rili got very enthu over winning the race. but slowly after we walked around the museum for other questions, it was ok. luckily phay shuen gave our group the questions by the locations and not the number, if not we hav to be like runnin around the whole museum like the other groups. haha. the museum was kinda freaky too..there was one part where there was a coffin set up. ewww. and many of the places were dark. i tiink at the end my group won? i dunno. cos we arrived to the last station where we hav to write tamil words first. then the peanuts came. we din know who won for this race too. we left the museum at bout 6 plus and went back to school around dinner time. before our dinner we had to practice our cheer for the campfire later in the night. it was kind of ridiculous, we had campfire in the hall cos it was rainin and we were like cursing to burn the school down. the teachers used tealight candles. uh hem. it sounds so weird but its true. campfire together wif ncc girls and boys. and i so dun like the friendship dance thingy. i almost died.... we thought we had night walk but in the end, much to our disappointment, we din hav. after bathing we were supposed to sleep but the sec ones and some sec twos and threes sat around ms chua and ms tan singing guides songs. lol. i din mind tat. at least we din hav to sleep so early. before we slept we had barley in the home ec room.
so i decided not to sleep all night though i was freakin tired.maybe too tired until cannot sleep. lindsey at first say wanna stay up wif me then end up she too tired slept redi. when the first night duty over, i sneaked out of the classroom to join jia ning and diyana. their duty was quite short and we sat at the pavilion<<[dunno how to spell] there talkin. then at like 2.30am they wake the ginkos up. but oni managed to wake olivia successfully and the others were sleepin away.then yu wen and ching ying woke up. so me, yu wen, jia ning, olivia and ching ying were at the pavilion. nth to do we talk until like 3 plus then jia ning and ching ying went back to sleep left the three of us. time like past very fast, the three of us sat there for like 1 hour plus talkin then olivia wake yan mae up cos got night duty. so now four of us. we talk until 5am then we go toilet wash up and change where the others still sleepin. then me and yu wen walk two rounds around the school cos at that time i was freezing cold and she say must move about. after walkin we went back to the pavilion to sleep ferr a while. after that we fall in.
on monday...
we unpitch the tents and help to wash many things. then dawn, joe yee, jolin and i got a chance to take down the world flag and touch it. lol. then a bit here and there we finished packin up early so we had clauses. sian. but got to go aircon com lab so nvm lorhh. we go there make some mini structures for like 1 hour then went back to the tower to "celebrate" ms shim's belated birthday. lol. the cake was so damn small larhh, need to share among so many ppl. then we exchanged gifts wif our manitos and my manito turned out to be ching ying. jolin was quite shock to noe im her manito. jolin rite? haha. i was good at keepin secrets. =.=
after everything we all were released and head for home...
the camp was tiring larhh, but it was fun and rili trained our survival skills.
